Huge, solitary burrowing worms with absolutely far too many pincered tentacles spilling from their mouths. Spiny protuberances along their body—which help them to tunnel and move through soil and ice—spray acidic mucous in defence. Uses its tentacles to drag dead bodies (along with all their gear) into its fleshy maw and burrows away to digest its meal.
